Steam Remote Play Together

How to Play Online

Play Co-op or Versus with a friend over the internet - no matchmaking, no accounts to set up. Only the host needs to own the game.

You (the host)

Own DEFLEKT on Steam + a controller.
You launch and invite.

Your friend

A free Steam account (no purchase) + a controller.
They join your stream.

Xbox-style controllers strongly recommended for both players.
1Host

Start a match

Open DEFLEKT from Steam. On the main menu, choose CO-OP or VERSUS and start it.

Pick CO-OP (2 vs the swarm) or VERSUS (1v1 duel).
2Host

Invite your friend

Press Shift + Tab to open the Steam overlay, click your friend, and choose Remote Play Together.

Shown as it appears in the Steam overlay - the live "Remote Play Together" option activates once the game is released.
3Friend

Accept the invite

Your friend gets a Steam invite. They click Join - the game streams to their screen.

Your Friend wants to play DEFLEKT with you via Remote Play.
No download of the game, no purchase - Steam streams the host's session.
4Friend

Join as Player 2

On the Select Your Ship screen, Player 2 presses A on their controller to drop in.

5Both

Play together

That's it - team up against the swarm in Co-op, or duel 1v1 in Versus.
