1. Who these terms are with

This website, deflekt.games.mayd-it.com, is operated by Mayd It LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington, United States (UBI 606 247 926). Mayd-It Games is our studio brand and is not a separate company. "We" and "us" below mean Mayd It LLC.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. How we handle data is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Using this website

You are welcome to browse the site, watch the trailer and gameplay clips, listen to the soundtrack samples, read the how-to-play guide, view the leaderboards, and download the press kit. In return, please do not:

• attempt to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting;
• scrape it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else;
• submit anything through our forms that is unlawful, abusive, or someone else's personal information; or
• use the site to distribute malware or to impersonate us.

We may change, move, or take down any part of the site at any time, including this page.

3. What belongs to whom

DEFLEKT, the DEFLEKT name and logo, the game itself, and all art, video, music, text, and code on this site are owned by Mayd It LLC or used by us with permission. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.

Press kit licence

The press kit at /assets/press/ is provided so that press, streamers, and video creators can cover DEFLEKT. You may reproduce, resize, and publish its screenshots, key art, logo, and factsheet in articles, videos, streams, and social posts about the game, including monetized ones, without asking us first. Please do not alter the logo, imply that we endorse or sponsor you, or resell the assets on their own. That permission covers the press kit only, not the trailer's music as a standalone track and not the game's assets generally.

Feedback you send us

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or ideas through the form on this site, you are giving us permission to use them to improve DEFLEKT and our other work, without obligation, payment, or credit. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential or that you are not free to share. We will not publish your email address.

4. Leaderboards

The leaderboards display public Steam persona names and run statistics supplied by Steam. Manipulating scores, using cheats or modified clients, or submitting content that would make a persona name offensive on our page may result in an entry being removed or shown as Anonymous. If you would rather not appear at all, email bmay@mayd-it.com and we will anonymize your entry within 30 days.

DEFLEKT is sold through Steam. Your purchase, refunds, and your Steam account itself are governed by Valve Corporation's agreements, not by these terms. This site is not endorsed by or affiliated with Valve Corporation.

5. Our publishing tool and YouTube

We operate an in-house tool, DEFLEKT Marketing Machine, which uploads short clips of our own gameplay to the one YouTube channel we own. This section states its terms of use.

• The tool uses YouTube API Services.
• By using this API Client, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, available at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
• Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and access granted to the tool can be revoked at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• The tool is internal to Mayd It LLC. It is not a product or a service, it is not sold, licensed, or made available to anyone else, there are no accounts and no sign-up, and it uploads only to our own channel with the channel owner's own credentials. It has no users other than us.
• Anything we upload with it is our own footage of our own game, and every caption and description carries the line "Gameplay by our AI test pilot. DEFLEKT is made by one human + a lot of AI."

What our tool stores and shares is described in section 2 of our Privacy Policy.

6. Links to other sites

We link to Steam, YouTube, Google, and other places we do not control. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content.

7. No warranty

This website and the press kit are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current. Footage, art, and feature descriptions are work-in-progress and subject to change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mayd It LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change this page and update the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
